HANO and Hawaiʻi Investment Ready (HIR), are sharing their report on COVID impacts on nonprofits and social enterprises. The report is based on a survey conducted during summer 2020. The nonprofit sector, which contributes 10% to State GDP and employs 56,000 employees (pre-COVID), has a significant role to play in Hawaii’s economic recovery and resilience. HANO’s hope is that this report will create a shared baseline of understanding that will inform individual responses and enable more strategic collaborations to maximize collective impact for our communities.
