Hawaiian History Month
September 27, 2022
The Hawaii Pono’ī Coalition is hosting four weeks of events in recognition of Hawaiian History Month, celebrating Queen Liliʻuokalani, Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole, and other key figures and events in Hawaiian history.
The Coalition was founded in 2007 to educate those who live in and visit Hawai‘i about its true history and the Native Hawaiian people. Itʻs goals continue to be putting forth a Hawaiian agenda in recognition of social justice and reconciliation of historical and cultural wrongs in Hawaiʻi which still linger today.
