Supporting All Youth
“The YMCA is for ALL and committed to providing safe spaces for all youth so they can reach their full potential with dignity and respect and we welcome our LGBTQIA+ community as a safe and proud space at the Y,” said Greg Waibel, President and CEO of the YMCA of Honolulu.

“Despite tremendous progress over the last decade, LGBTQIA individuals and families continue to face challenges at work and school and even within themselves and their families. Supporting the well-being and safety of LGBTQIA youth is critical in our communities. We are very grateful for the support of our national and local sponsors who are helping us make this exciting viewing party and supportive activities and resources available for our local teens,” added Waibel.
