Common Cause: 50 More Years Celebration

June 10, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Common Cause, honoring its first 50 years at this pivotal moment in our democracy, is celebrating the “Power of We — you and me — working together”.

“We must tackle fanaticism in all its guises — racism, religious bigotry, political paranoia, and all other variation of divisive behavior.” JOHN GARDNER, founder of Common Cause

“Renewing the ideals of John Gardner is more important than our many wins, the organization, or the man who started it all. No matter who we are or where we came from, democracy is our common cause. That ideal is why we are proud of our history and we celebrate the past and future successes of shifting power to the people.

“Common Cause is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to upholding the core values of American democracy. Common Cause works to create open, honest, and accountable government that serves the public interest; promote equal rights, opportunity, and representation for all; and empower all people to make their voices heard in the political process.”
