Show description:
Five former math geeks and high school besties reunite fifteen years after they’ve graduated from Pearl City to wrestle with secrets, major life changes and guacamole at their favorite karaoke room. If you requested Lady Marmalade from the DJ at your prom, this play is dedicated to you.

Actors will perform live, in person, on stage at Kumu Kahua Theatre; the show will be streamed live to an online audience only.  Full COVID safety precautions will be adhered to by the entire production team.  Kumu Kahua Theatre will not have in-person audiences until 2022.

NOTE: All characters are the same age and grad Pearl City High School the same year (late 20s to mid 30s).

NOTE: All “local mix” characters speak both pidgin (Hawaiian Creole English) and standard American English fluently and interchangeably. A stronger pidgin accent may indicate moments of greater emotion. For clarity, we do not use pidgin orthography in the script, although we do use pidgin grammar.

All actors should be familiar with the story. A digital copy of the script can be found here.  Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
