The Luana Hospitality Group Kona Classic 2024, proudly presented by the Hawai’i Gay Kickball League, will take place August 16-18, 2024 in Kona, Hawai’i. The weekend tournament fosters unity within the Hawai’i LGBTQIA+ community through the joy of kickball, and the league welcomes other queer social kickball leagues to join in the fun. Games will be played August 17th-18th, with a pool play on Saturday and single elimination playoffs on Sunday.

Oʻahu Pride Volleyball (formerly the Hawaii LGBTQ Volleyball League) aims to bring the Oʻahu LGBTQIA+ community together through friendship and a shared loved of volleyball. Season 3 runs through August 31 with games from 8am-3pm in Kapiʻolani Park Picnic Areas 15-18. Learn more here.

The genderqueer writer, therapist, political organizer, and founder of The Embodiment Institute, Prentis Hemphill will be in conversation with Noʻu Revilla at Ka Waiwai Mōʻiliʻili on July 9. In their latest book, Hemphill shows us how we must learn to heal ourselves, connect with one another, and embody our values. “The book is a tool to help those searching for a ‘healing home,’”says Hemphill, “a place where communal infrastructure can be rebuilt and or fortified to sustain us on our journey toward self-acceptance, accountability, joy, and freedom in all the ways we’ve yet to experience it.”

HRFF35 will be weekend of live screenings of remarkable queer cinema at the Doris Duke Theatre / Honolulu Museum of Art, as well as fabulous parties and a program of free online shorts. The Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival is one of the longest-running and most respected queer film festivals in the country. Especially well known as a bridge between Hawaiʻi and the Pacific, Asia, and the USA, HRFF is an IMDB-qualified festival and member of the Asia Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance.
