Hawaii Island Pride

2017 Hawaii Island Pride was celebrated Saturday, July 8. FMI: contact Beverly Yates-Tese at beverly.tese@gmail.com

Hawaii Island Pride featured live entertainment, local crafts and ono food. A family friendly event, it was alcohol free and had lots of activities for kids!
When the Foundation was approached in May 2015 by the Hawaii Island Pride Parade and Festival in Hilo and asked to assume responsibility of their Pride as a project of the Foundation, we were honored and accepted their offer.

Hawaii Island Pride events have been great successes, with over 30 parade contingents (floats, marching groups, etc.), over 900 festival spectators, and educational film showings at the Palace Theater.

If you’re interested in helping organize next year’s festival, or want to learn more about becoming a vendor or sponsor, please visit Hawaii Island Pride’s  website and Facebook page.
