Last year Hawaii’s “Big Island” featured live entertainment, local crafts and ono food. A family friendly event, it was alcohol free and had lots of activities for kids!
When the Foundation was approached in May 2015 by the Hawaii Island Pride Parade and Festival in Hilo and asked to assume responsibility of their Pride as a project of the Foundation, we were honored and accepted their offer.
Both the 2015 and 2016 events were great successes, with over 30 parade contingents (floats, marching groups, etc.), over 900 festival spectators, and educational film showings at the Palace Theater.
