VIDofWEEKcamaron“Family Is Still Family” is a public service campaign by NQAPIA, the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance, a network of Asian, South Asian and Pacific Islander LGBTQ organizations. The multilingual campaign features real parents speaking about their LGBTQ children and includes informational guides dispelling common misperceptions.

#WeStandWithOrlando. The Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation (@The LGBT Center) joined 122 national LGBT community centers signing an open letter calling for action after the Orlando shooting. See the full letter and list of signers here.

Statement from David Brustein, Chairperson, Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation: “Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and families of the senseless violence toward the gay community in Orlando. We gathered at the statue of Gandhi on June 12 to rededicate ourselves to his message of non-violent protest in the face of bigotry. We act in solidarity with the entire LGBTQ community in Hawaii and encouraged all to attend one of the numerous vigils, services and rallies held across the islands. Now is the time for us to come together to show our strength, resilience and love.”
