Transgender Day of Visibility
March 28 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join Hawaiʻi Health & Harm Reduction (HHHRC) at the State Capitol for Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) sign-waving and rally. This day is not just about being seen; it is about celebrating the diverse experiences and contributions of transgender individuals in our society.
Come together and raise awareness as we proudly display messages of support and acceptance. Whether you are a seasoned advocate or new to activism, your presence makes a difference. Let us show the world that we stand in solidarity with the transgender community.

TDOV is an international day dedicated to celebrating transgender individuals and raising awareness about the challenges they face. It is a day to honor their resilience, strength, and courage in living authentically. By coming together, we can amplify their voices and advocate for a more inclusive and equitable society.
International TDOV was created in 2010 by trans advocate Rachel Crandall. Crandall, the head of Transgender Michigan, created TDOV in response to the overwhelming majority of media stories about transgender people being focused on violence. She hoped to create a day where people could re-focus on celebrating the lives of transgender people, empowering them to live authentically, while still acknowledging that due to discrimination, not every trans person can or wants to be visible.
