Rise & Shine Kūpuna Movie Mornings: “CHARADE” (1963)
March 10 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Step into a world of glamour, intrigue, and sparkling wit at the historic Hawaii Theatre on Monday, March 10, with a special screening of the 1963 classic Charade. Often described as “the best Hitchcock film Hitchcock never made,” this stylish romantic thriller stars the incomparable Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant in a delightfully twisty tale set against the elegant backdrop of Paris.
When Regina Lampert becomes entangled in a dangerous mystery involving a stolen fortune and several unsavory characters, she finds herself relying on the charming yet enigmatic Peter Joshua—who may not be exactly who he claims to be. Filled with sharp dialogue, unexpected turns, and undeniable chemistry between its leads, Charade balances suspense and romance with effortless sophistication.
Directed by Stanley Donen and featuring a memorable score by Henry Mancini, the film remains a standout of 1960s cinema. Join us at Hawaii Theatre to experience this beloved classic on the big screen, where its humor, style, and suspense shine even brighter in the grandeur of one of Honolulu’s most treasured landmarks.
