October 1 – 31: Honolulu Pride Month

After much deliberation the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation has come to the difficult decision that this year’s Honolulu Pride Parade & Festival will not be an in-person event. In its place will be a Virtual Honolulu Pride with all the fun, educational and inspiring programs from last year, plus a few new surprises.
2021 Virtual Honolulu Pride will include the KHON2 special program Aloha With Pride (premiering October 14) , the Tiny Floats Parade (with prizes!), a series of Rainbow Town Halls, the wildly popular Virtual After Party, a new Coming Out Day online project, and more. And the Rainbows Over Waikiki Pride Banners will once again be installed thanks to presenting sponsor Hawaiian Airlines. The Foundation is also working to produce several small-scale, more intimate cultural events during Honolulu Pride Month, and hopes to plan a Pride Picnic community gathering at a later date.
