Hawaiʻiʻs own professional dancer, LGBTQIA+ advocate and social media star Mark Kanemura has a new picture book illustrated by Richard Merritt, and the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation is bringing him Honolulu for a book signing celebration and ʻohana event on June 24. “I Am a Rainbow” is based on Markʻs childhood in Hawaiʻi and encourages readers to find safe spaces that allow them to shine bright.

Co-hosted by the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation, HHHRC, Spill The Tea Cafe, HiSAM and others, the event will include ʻohana and keiki activities, drag queen story time, food, performances, dancing and more.
