Exploring the Peer Mediator Experience
March 29, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
The Peer Mediation Conference has been bringing together youth peer mediators (ages 8 to 18 years old) for over thirty years. This is the second year the conference has gone virtual to connect peer mediators around Hawai’i and others aspiring to develop their own peer mediation program.
Learn about the peer mediators experience as it relates to the issues of mental health, bullying, and relationships, and discuss the lessons learned from this year’s private dialogue sessions with Hawaii High School students, and by alumni peer mediators. The events are free and open to everyone who wants to learn more about peer mediation. We encourage youth and adults that work with youth to attend.
The Matsunaga Institute, residing in the College of Social Sciences, UH Mānoa, is a multi-disciplinary community of scholars, students, and practitioners who, through academic programs and outreach, promote cross-cultural understanding and collaborative problem-solving.
