Civil Beat is bringing back its first in-person book club event in two years, exploring Kīpuka: Finding Refuge In Times Of Change, a book of poetry and prose about living in contemporary Hawaii published by Bamboo Ridge Press. Hosted by Civil Beat’s digital producer, Kuʻu Kauanoe, the in-person book club discussion takes place at da Shop’s warehouse. The night will start off with an hour-long book club discussion, followed by a half hour for writing and sharing.

Covid Protocols: Following the removal of the emergency order, proof of Covid vaccination is no longer required for this event.
