Bhenji Ra: Vogue Foundations and Embodied Herstory Class

Bhenji Ra will be taking over Queer Dance Exploratory at the UHM Dance Building on Monday 13th of February from 2-3:30pm. This class is open to the Public and is Free. Liability forms must be filled out and signed to participate

Bhenji Ra is a transdisciplinary artist currently based on Gadigal land, Eora Nation. Her practice combines dance, video, illustration and community activation. Her work dissects cultural theory and identity, centralising her own personal histories as a tool to reframe performance.

She is the mother of the House of Sle, the pioneering house of the ballroom scene in Australia and was the creative director behind Mardi Gras sold out event Sissy Ball since 2018. She is a part of the house of Amazon lead by Leiomy Maldonado and is Juicy Couture in the kiki scene.
