HIFF ‘Ōpio / Future Filmmakers Showcases
January 11 - January 15

The Hawai’i International Film Festival is accepting student submissions until January 15 in two categories:
‘ŌPIO STUDENT SHOWCASE
Students attending school in Hawai’i, who are in high school or younger (K 12), are eligible to apply for free. Students who recently graduated from high school in 2024 are also eligible. Films must be at least 1 minute long and no longer than 10 minutes. We welcome any type of student made film, any genre, any theme!
FUTURE FILMMAKERS SHOWCASE
Students attending school in Hawai’i or Alaska, who are in high school or middle school (6-12), are eligible to submit short narratives or documentaries that highlight the theme of “Together We Thrive” in their story.
