Since 2012, Hawaiʻi Women in Filmmaking Reel Camps have provided a courageous and safe environment for girls ages 13-17 to create and share their own stories that are meaningful and deserve to be heard and seen. Hawaiʻi Women in Filmmaking welcomes (cis/trans), femmes, non-binary, gender-fluid, and gender-queer youth, as well as any other youth who identify outside of the gender binary. Reel Camps provide a place where youth, by writing filming and editing a short film, express their creativity, boost their confidence, and embark on a journey of personal transformation.
