Shine A Light for Caregivers is a charity fundraiser walk at Ala Moana Beach Park to grow awareness for Caregivers. Gimme a Break, the eventʻs organizer, says, “Caregivers become isolated and withdrawn, it’s as if they disappear into the darkness! By ʻShinning a Lightʻ for Caregivers, we show them that we see them and appreciate all they do. And Caregivers have an opportunity to “SHINE”! Currently 50% of all Caregivers in the United States will NOT survive their Career! All proceeds and donations will be used to support Caregiver SURVIVAL and the mission of Gimme A Break.”
