Celebrate the Rainbow! Join the Honolulu Pride™ Team and help us make the 2019 Parade and Festival the best ever.
We’re looking for volunteers to assist at both the 2019 Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival. This year’s celebration will be our largest ever, and we can’t do it without your help.
Volunteers will receive quick access to the Festival and the Volunteer Chill-Out Tent, complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages (depending on your shift), and lots of LGBTQ+ camaraderie!

WE NEED HELP IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
Friday, October 18
DAY BEFORE FESTIVAL SET-UP
Set up the Festival area the day before the event; help us prep for the largest and most colorful annual celebration for Hawaii’s LGBTQ+ community.
Saturday, October 19
DAY OF FESTIVAL SET-UP
Help us make sure everything is PERFECT before our Festival guests arrive.
PARADE SET-UP + BREAK-DOWN
Help get the Parade staging area ready for the deluge of fantastic floats and marching contingents that make the Parade so amazing.
PARADE VOLUNTEERS + ENTRANTS CHECK-IN
Welcome our volunteers and parade entrants and assist them as they get ready to hit the Parade route and wow the crowds.
PARADE ROUTE FLOW CONTROL + MEDIA ASSISTANCE
Keep the parade moving along its route and amp up entrants as they approach the media area and share their LGBTQ+ aloha with our TV viewers.
END OF PARADE
Check in equipment from entrants and direct entrants and volunteers to appropriate areas at the Festival.
Celebrate the Rainbow by welcoming volunteers and Festival goers; sell VIP passes and encourage donations.
FESTIVAL FOUNDATION + VOLUNTEER + MERCH TENTS
Share information about the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation, assist volunteers as they chill out and prep for their shifts, sell official Honolulu Pride merchandise.
GREEN ROOM + ENTERTAINERS TENT
Assist our fabulous Festival entertainers before and after they perform. Keep the libations, snacks and “well done!” hugs coming.
DAY OF FESTIVAL CLEAN-UP
Help us malama the aina. Remove litter and trash to restore the Festival area to its pre-Festival loveliness.
Sunday, October 20
DAY AFTER FESTIVAL CLEAN-UP
Make the final rounds of cleaning up the Festival grounds, and enjoy the feeling of having created a beautiful gathering for Hawaii’s LGBTQ+ community.
