SUMMARY:Kapaemahu: Nā Pōhaku Ola Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Join the community for the annual Kapaemahu Ceremony at Nā Pōhaku Ola O Kapaemahu A Me Kapuni in Waikīkī. \nThe sunrise protocol and ceremony sets the tone and intention for Honolulu Pride and will be followed by a community gathering at Queenʻs Beach with games\, music\, food and fellowship. \nThis day of remembrance\, centering and celebration is hosted by the Māhūi\, a cultural and education subcommittee of the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation. The Māhūi is dedicated to guiding the organizationʻs work\, ensuring that it is place-based and reflects Kanaka stories\, values and history. \nThe Kapaemahu Ceremony is free and open to the public.
