The 2019 Honolulu Pride Festival featured an amazing line up of performers including ALLIE X, IZIK, TIM ROSE and CHEVELLE BROOKS, among many others.
Artists working in a dazzling array of styles including outsider pop, R&B, burlesque, rock, rap, drag and dance–and Hawaii’s best MCs– performed on two stages. Plus great DJs and go go dancers mixed it up in the Drink Oasis. And with family-friendly and delightful entertainment in the Ohana Area…there was something for everyone!
ALLIE X has sold out shows internationally and continues to grow her large cult following. She co-wrote Troye Sivan’s debut and sophomore albums in addition to releasing her own critically acclaimed albums COLLXTION II and the recent SUPER SUNSET. Her social advocacy and collaborations with Sivan and drag superstar Violet Chachki have earned her a dedicated LGBTQ+ fanbase and regular features in gay publications.
IZIK has developed a unique sound never before seen in Hawaii, and he’s become an award-winning performer with multiple local, national and international tours under his belt. The Utah-born, Hawai‘i-raised singer/songwriter released his debut album Obsidian (Zeo Music, May 10, 2016) to critical acclaim and is currently working on his sophomore album, to be released in late 2019.
Tim Rose recorded his debut album on a chocolate farm in the eastern jungle of Kauai. His debut release was received with critical acclaim and was nominated for two Na Hoku Hanohano awards in 2016. Tim plays 250 shows a year, sharing his rough blue silk voice with the world. Under the stars he sleeps with his head towards the sky, dreaming of ways to reach you.
