Respond With Aloha

May 28

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating indefinitely

In collaboration with the Hawaiʻi Green Growth network, Kanu Hawaiʻi is working with government, business and community partners to multiply our impact and build resilience during this time of need, launching the Respond With Aloha website to create a resource hub for people across our islands: respondwithaloha.org.

Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, the needs of our Hawaiʻi community have grown immensely. The team at Kanu Hawaiʻi has spent the last few weeks focusing on what our role and our purpose can be during this public health pandemic by asking many questions:

  • What are the greatest needs in our communities across Hawaiʻi?
  • Who can we serve?
  • How can we serve them – safely and effectively?

While COVID-19 demonstrates our vulnerability, it also reinforces our interconnectedness. In collaboration with the Hawaiʻi Green Growth network, Kanu Hawaiʻi is working with government, business and community partners to multiply our impact and build resilience during this time of need, launching the Respond With Aloha website to create a resource hub for people across our islands: respondwithaloha.org.

This site is full of opportunities and resources including:

  • map of volunteer opportunities and how to get involved
  • current support and relief efforts
  • avenues to support local businesses
  • community exchange initiatives to share your skills and needs

Spend some time looking at the opportunities that exist – everything from donating to food banks, to sponsoring a kupuna, to supporting our local farmers. We can all play a meaningful role during this challenging time.
