Through November 18: OutTalks Webinar Series

November 5

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating indefinitely

After a short summer break, OutRight is launching a webinar series called OutTalks to share insights and analysis, elevate the voices of LGBTIQ activists, and continue strengthening our global movement through virtual engagement. This ongoing series will cover a range of topics, and feature LGBTIQ advocates and allies from around the world.

Tune in on September 30th for a conversion with Africa Program Officer Yvonne Wamari about “artivism – the role of art in the fight for human rights, or join in on October 14th to hear from Senior Research Advisor Amie Bishop about the impact of COVID-19 on LGBTIQ people several months into the pandemic. In November, OutRight will dissect what the results of the US Presidential election mean for global LGBTIQ activism and gain insight into efforts toward gender identity recognition in the Caribbean.

The schedule of OutTalks, and registration information, can be found here.

OutRight Action International fights for the human rights for LGBTIQ people everywhere. OutRight works at the international, regional and national levels to research, document, defend, and advance human rights for LGBTIQ people around the world. OutRight is the only LGBTIQ organization that has a permanent presence to advocate at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for progress for LGBTIQ people. We have a major stake at the UN on human rights and hold special consultative status there, which allows us to bring to light the concerns of LGBTIQ people globally at this important world forum.
