LGBTQ Youth + The New White House

April 29, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

As we continue navigating 2021 and our changing world, join The Trevor Project for an interactive conversation on a moment of change: the first 100 days of the new administration. This discussion will focus on the various ways this White House administration can impact LGBTQ youth mental health, and how we all can urge the new administration to effect positive change for all LGBTQ youth. For more information, and to register, click here.

Speakers will include:

• Sam Brinton (they/them)
Vice President of Advocacy and Government Affairs
Sam is one of the world’s leading advocates for LGBTQ youth. They are the founder of the 50 Bill 50 States campaign at The Trevor Project to end the dangerous and discredited practice of conversion therapy, first in the United States and then around the globe. As a survivor of conversion therapy, Sam has spoken before the United Nations and Congress as well as testified on legislation from coast to coast to protect LGBTQ youth mental health and save LGBTQ young lives.

• Casey Pick, Esq. (she/her)
Senior Fellow for Advocacy and Government Affairs

She strives to educate about LGBTQ youth/mental health issues, especially Trevor’s 50 Bills 50 States campaign to end conversion therapy. She also writes and coordinates Trevor’s amicus briefs, collaborates with state and local advocates, and testifies in support of legislation to protect LGBTQ young people.
