Kūpuna Movie Mornings: Bringing Up Baby

February 11 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with one of the original romcoms, 1938’s Bringing Up Baby, starring Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn and directed by Howard Hawks. The madcap story tells of a hapless paleontologist (Grant) who meets a dizzy heiress (Hepburn) and soon finds himself dealing with a missing dinosaur bone, a leopard on the loose, and plenty of gender-bending mayhem. It has long been considered a Hollywood classic, one of the films that established the screwball comedy genre.

Kūpuna Movie Mornings is a series of monthly social gatherings with snacks and beverages, and a classic film on the big screen, presented by the Hawaiʻi Theatre Center and the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation. The events are pay what you can and a fun way to catch a great film and spend time with LGBTQ+ kūpuna and a diverse community of movie lovers. Social hour begins at 10:30am and the show starts at 11:30am.

Pay what you can, but a reservation is required for entrance. For more information, and to RSVP, click here.
