Joyful Return is the Honolulu Museum of Art’s museum-wide exhibition featuring a series of outdoor pop-up installations and a gallery installation—a fresh, fun, community-driven experience celebrating a return to art making, conversations, and personal connections. Joyful Return is taking advantage of the museum’s many open-air and courtyard spaces to provide safe, fun ways for everyone to re-engage with art, and with each other.
The first three pop-up installations will launch April 17, each incorporating interactive and reflective elements brought to life by museum guests and the HoMA community. HoMA is encouraging the public to get involved, seeking submissions of photos, memories, audio recorded interviews, yarn donations, and more. Click here to learn more.
