June 3 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
An online discussion of “A Short Life of Trouble” by Marcia Tucker hosted by Civil Beat’s major gifts manager, Mariko Chang. Tucker was a fierce, outspoken champion of contemporary artists, especially the risk-takers who are often marginalized and overlooked or not an easy sell. Her life included a number of milestones: As the first female curator at New York’s Whitney Museum of Art, she was a feminist in a position of power; after being fired, she founded, perhaps most astounding of all, the New Museum.
Civil Beat and da Shop are committed to the health and well-being of our community. While our normal in-person events are still on hold, we feel that community connection is more important than ever.
With this in mind, Civil Beat and da Shop are partnering together to host June’s book club as a virtual event. On June 3, major gifts manager, Mariko Chang, will lead a live discussion of “A Short Life of Trouble” by Marcia Tucker.
This online event will be held on Zoom. Please RSVP to receive the meeting link.
