ʻAha Lōkahi Hawai’i Community Conference

August 26

The theme of the 2022 ‘Aha Lōkahi CommUNITY Conference is Ua Ola Loko i ke Aloha: Thriving Youth Starts With Us (Love gives life within. Love is imperative to oneʻs mental and physical welfare. #2836). It recognizes the need for love and care for ourselves in order to love and care for the youth and families we serve. Through interactive workshops, site visits, and hands-on activities, the conference, presented by the Hawai’i Afterschool Alliance, will focus on ways to nurture our well-being as well as strategies and best practices to support our children and youthʻs well-being.

This conference is for afterschool and youth development professionals, educators, administrators, and other community members who are dedicated to supporting Hawaiʻiʻs children and youth. Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation Board member Ian Tapu will present a workshop at the conference.
