DESCRIPTION:Produced by Lei Pua ʻAla Queer Histories of Hawaiʻi\, and composed and directed by Kumu Patrick Makuakāne\, The Return of Kapaemahu shares and honors the long-hidden story of the Healer Stones of Kapaemahu—a sacred site of healing and inclusion in Waikīkī that commemorates Hawaiʻi’s legendary gender-fluid healers. The show takes place under the banyan tree on the Kūhiō Beach hula mound\, just steps from the stones. Wednesdays at golden hour – 6:30-7:30 PM. FINAL EIGHT SHOWS are Nov 26\,; Dec 3\, 10 & 17; Jan 7\, 14\, 21 & 28.
