DESCRIPTION:Hawaii Women In Filmmaking (HWF) is offering several programs running December 2021 – May 2022 focusing on youth and young adult filmmakers. The HWF Video Lab is a virtual space for youth participants to get help for any film projects\, to ask filmmaking questions\, and/or start film-related discussions. In LIKE BREATH\, HWF explores different forms of poetry to tell participants’ stories. MAKING MEDIA THE MATTERS is a filmmaking program to develop filmmaking and critical-thinking skills by examining issues in our communities\, and the YOUTH MENTAL WELLNESS REEL CAMP FOR GIRLS is a version of the MAKING MEDIA THE MATTERS workshop with a focus on mental health\, \nHWF’s programs are free\, but have limited capacity.
