SUMMARY:Virtual HANOCON 2021: Shifting Paradigms
DESCRIPTION:HANOCON is Hawaii’s largest annual gathering of nonprofit professionals–as well as sector allies\, supporters\, and advocates–to network\, learn\, share ideas\, collaborate\, and partner. This year’s HANOCON conference theme is Shifting Paradigms\, inspired by the Native Hawaiian concept of makawalu\, a way of seeing and understanding more than just what is before us. It is the vision and contemplation that allows us to see beyond now and prepare us for what is to come\, to see the change that must take place before movement happens. Join the Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations to embrace makawalu as we begin to shift paradigms in the nonprofit sector to honor\, uplift and restore indigenous ways of thinking\, knowing and being in Hawaiʻi. \nLearn more and register here.

SUMMARY:October 1 - 31: Honolulu Pride Month
DESCRIPTION:After much deliberation the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation has come to the difficult decision that this year’s Honolulu Pride Parade & Festival will not be an in-person event. Keep the LGBTQ+ aloha growing and flowing–virtual\, at a distance–but\, more than ever\, diverse\, all-inclusive and very real.
