Statement from David Brustein
Chairperson, Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and families of the senseless violence toward the gay community in Orlando. We gathered at the statue of Gandhi on June 12 to rededicate ourselves to his message of non-violent protest in the face of bigotry. We act in solidarity with the entire LGBTQ community in Hawaii and encouraged all to attend one of the numerous vigils, services and rallies held across the islands. Now is the time for us to come together to show our strength, resilience and love.”LEGACYlogoWflag
